Studio Arts

Studio Arts

Studio Arts is an all ages, fee-based, single subject course program. Students ages 18 and over can register for any class in the variety of subject areas and students between the ages of 14-18 can as well with a parent’s permission.

Based on the philosophy of the Arts Student League, professional and novice artists are encouraged to learn, join, and create a community around the common desire to express themselves through the visual arts.

Studio Arts is not intended to impose specific ideologies on which type of artwork students should be focusing on, but rather we provide a platform for artists to learn the tools they need to be successful in any direction they choose. However, we recognize the need to provide a strong and essential foundation in academic techniques in traditional media and subject matter. We believe this focus is aligned with Millard Sheets’ ethos as it relates to art education and would provide any student with the foundation to be successful as an artist.
