June 11
Our free Family Workshops is one of our most exciting programs.
It is an opportunity for families to come together for a few hours here in our studios to make art together!

We know it's challenging to find time at home to organize art projects (which is what we're all doing in our spare time, right?) and sometimes art isn't offered during the school day, so we try to make this easy. All supplies included, just bring the family and get inspired!

Having the opportunity to provide this program to our community is something we hold very dear. This program is completely funded by the generous donations from Fairplex employee contributions.

All workshops take place on the second Saturday of each month from 12:00-2:00pm.

All we ask is that you pre-register you and your loved ones.

Example Project: March Workshop—Milford Zornes

Overview

Participants will be introduced to to water-color painting. A brief history of Milford Zornes, famous landscape painter connected to Millard Sheets, will be discussed. His California Style will be the inspiration for this workshop. Basic vocabulary, style, and techniques will be discussed to achieve a one of a kind piece.

Activities
  1. Prepare work area.
  2. Work together to determine color scheme and image.
  3. Start having fun creating together!!
